I posted this same painting on my art blog but thought I would show it off here also. It is oil on canvas. It is 150mm x 210mm so its pretty small but the biggest I have done to date with oil paint. I love the way it turned out.

Oh Shelly, it is gorgeous! Looks like it could jump right off the page.
Thanks Shelly for commenting on my blog. I just popped over to yours to see what you've been doing and saw this - Wow! It's so lifelike, it's hard to imagine it's done with oils!
Beautiful Shelly! And you work with oils too...you are an inspiration.
Hi Shelley;
Your painting turned out lovely! I love the intensity of the greens, very fresh! I'm still working mainly in graphite but one of these days I hope to try oils. Your painting is very inspiring.
Bonny
Shelly, I was tagged and am now tagging you to write 20 random things about yourself. Its fun.
This is oil?? I thought it was digital! Awesome! Very realistic!
Shelley,
I love this frog. His expression is priceless and so dead-on. Last night there was a small cuban tree frog sitting on a box in my carport and I sat and watched him for awhile. His expression really looked like this guys! I really enjoy your frogs. I've put away my paints but this painting is making me think to pick them up again! Great work!
I thought it was a photograph! Awesome. Plus, I love the subject matter. I like frogs, lizards and such. He's cute.
Exquisite Shelley!!! The highlights are so realistic...the frog looks about ready to fling himself off and be gone in a minute. Love it. :o)
Looks like a photograph! It's absolutley lovely! :)
