EDM Challenge #20 - Draw something "Dad".

I had quite alot of trouble with this one until I got over the actual "Dad" thing. I realised the closest thing I have to a "dad" is my mums partner of over 20 years, Nick. Nick is a Greek man who loves to play cards and eat and cook food. He is a very gentle, quiet man unless he's had something to drink and then he's in sing and dance mode!! He spends alot of time gardening and likes fishing. Nick does magnificent olives. I think this image represents Nick pretty well.! I used black pen and watercolour pencils to do this drawing. Clever Shelly. This looks great. I love the way you've done the loaf of bread. Makes me want to come for lunch!

That works for me for "Dad." I think you captured the essence of Nick very well in this charming still life.

This is such a good illustration - it would be great for a cookbook. And what a lovely way to represent "dad" - seeing this, one feels that he must be a terrific person.
